We were excited to honor our Big Brothers Big Sisters end of year celebration and ribbon cutting event for our Cinnamon Elementary School program. It was an exciting event for our staff, students, families.. In addition, we celebrated 8 years of our successful Lemoore Elementary program. We were proud to have so many parents in attendance along with the Mayor, Patricia Mathews, Interim City Manager, Kevin Northcraft, LHS Superintendent Miguel Guerrero and the CEO & President of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization, Diane Phakonekham. The Big Brothers Big Sisters is the preeminent one-to-one youth mentoring organization in the United States. Their campaign "It Takes Little to Be Big," challenging the myths and shifting perceptions of mentoring and why now, more than ever, mentorship is critical to the success of kids today.

Mr. Kenney has served in the district for 30 years. He is a leader who has put students first and has impacted many students lives. His ability to support teacher learning being a coach side-by-side is his primary focus. He is driven to support all staff and has done so with a purpose, being reflective and a valued member of our district administrative team. He knows his students by name and meets their needs. His catchy Mustang Spirit, Yip Yip Yehaw has been a catch phrase for his students and he continues to do whatever it takes to support both student and staff learning.
