DISTRICT APPOINTS MEADOW LANE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL'S LEARNING COORDINATOR FOR THE 2021/2022 SCHOOL YEAR At its scheduled meeting on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, the Board of Trustees ratified the employment of Ms. Dawn Taylor, as our new Learning Coordinator for Meadow Lane Elementary School for the 2021/2022 school year. Dawn brings to the learning coordinator role seven (7) years of elementary teaching experience along with her expertise as a PLC leader, a School Leadership team member, a New Teacher Induction (NTI) Mentor and site administrative designee at Meadow Lane Elementary. We are excited for Ms. Taylor to begin her Learning Coordinator role and look forward to working with her in this new capacity. DISTRICT APPOINTS FREEDOM ELEMENTARY SCHOOL'S NEW PRINCIPAL LUESD is pleased to announce the appointment of Tracy Cassina as the Principal of Freedom Elementary School. The new elementary school will open in the Fall of 2021. Professionally, Mrs. Cassina has 23 years of experience in the field of education serving in the Lemoore Union Elementary School District. Mrs. Cassina had 21 years of teaching experience in the district before being promoted to the position of Learning Coordinator for Meadow Lane Elementary in the 2019/2020 school year. She has also served as our Summer School Administrator for the 2017-2019 summer school sessions. We congratulate Tracy Cassina on her new position and are excited to have her leadership guiding the opening of our new Freedom Elementary school site!

LUESD would like to recognize our Board of Trustees in honor of #SchoolBoardRecognitionMonth. There are approximately 5,100 California school board trustees, which is the largest group of elected officials in the state. Trustees aid in supporting student success by establishing policy priorities and benchmarks.
