We are excited to launch the Fresno State Parent University Program in our district this year. Parent University is an on-demand resource created to help parents become full partners in their child’s education. The goal is to increase collaboration and involvement between schools, families, and community; to educate, empower and connect families with resources that build parent and student confidence, enhance character development and promote life skills to increase the likelihood of family success in academic endeavors. Parents will have access to on-demand content to view at their leisure.
The Parent University program provides online classes in Digital Literacy (I, II, III & IV), Financial Literacy (I & II), Social and Emotional Wellness, English Conversation (I & II), Spanish Conversation (I & II), Pathway to College, and Health & Wellness. All classes are free for our families and again are held virtually in the comfort of your home. The classes will take place 2 days a week for 4 weeks. Each session is held from 6:30 PM-8:30 PM. Classes are offered in English and Spanish with Punjabi, Triqui, and Hmong available upon request.
