We finally have our cheerleading tryouts starting this week for our Liberty Middle School students.
Date: Tuesday, August 29, and Wednesday, August 30
Time: 3:15pm to 5pm
Location: Meet Coach Jada Gonzalez at the shade structure near Student Services (Office)
Important Information
Students should be dressed in athletic wear or PE clothes for tryouts. A bottle of water is also highly recommended.
Permission slips will need to be filled out, by parents/guardians, prior to tryouts, through ParentSquare.com
Please fill out the form on parentsquare, if your student is interested. All forms need to be completed prior to 2:45pm, on either tryout date.

From our Lemoore Union Elementary School District
We are excited to launch the Fresno State Parent University Program in our district this year. Parent University is an on-demand resource created to help parents become full partners in their child’s education. The goal is to increase collaboration and involvement between schools, families, and community; to educate, empower and connect families with resources that build parent and student confidence, enhance character development and promote life skills to increase the likelihood of family success in academic endeavors. Parents will have access to on-demand content to view at their leisure.
The Parent University program provides online classes in Digital Literacy (I, II, III & IV), Financial Literacy (I & II), Social and Emotional Wellness, English Conversation (I & II), Spanish Conversation (I & II), Pathway to College, and Health & Wellness. All classes are free for our families and again are held virtually in the comfort of your home. The classes will take place 2 days a week for 4 weeks. Each session is held from 6:30 PM-8:30 PM. Classes are offered in English and Spanish with Punjabi, Triqui, and Hmong available upon request.
The registration flyer has been shared below with a QR code to support the registration process. The first set of course offerings will begin on Monday, August 28th, 2023. This upcoming Monday, August 28th, we will have an 8th grade parent night, 5:30pm to 6:30pm, in the Liberty Cafeteria. A Spanish session will also be available at the same date and time, in the Media Center (Library).
8th grade information on grades, graduation, as well as white robe information will be discussed. We hope you can join us.
It is almost Marching Band season and we are looking for students that are interested in joining Color Guard this year.
Color Guard tryouts are also open to all Liberty Students. Students will meet Coach Bush in the band room.

We had an amazing turnout at tryouts today, Monday, August 21. Flag football and volleyball tryouts continue tomorrow after-school.

Students will receive their schedules from their Advisory Teacher. PE clothes will be on sale in the Liberty Gym for $18 and there will be orientation sessions in the Media Center. 5:00 and 6:00 in English, and 5:30 and 6:30 in Spanish. We have some extra copies of yearbooks from the past years here at Liberty, and for a $5 donation you can have a copy. All donations will contribute to the yearbook staff getting new up to date technology. Located in D5.
