Our Patriots were in their PJs today, ready for their 3 day weekend. We also had a K9 demonstration on campus to start off our day. Thank you to the Lemoore PD for coming to our campus.
Monday is Twin Day, as we continue Red Ribbon Week.
We had such a fun and busy week this week. Our Marching Band and Colorguard performed at the Visalia Band Review last Saturday.
They took second place overall, won their division in music, and took 3rd place in percussion. We are so proud of our Liberty Band students.

Just a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL for students tomorrow, Friday, October 27th. Teachers and staff will be having a professional development day that day.
Our students looked amazing, in their boots and hats, yesterday for Western Day.
Our Liberty students are "too bright for drugs." We are off to a great start with Red Ribbon Week. Our first day was Neon Day. Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 24th, is Sports/Jersey Day.
Our students also did a lesson on the history of Red Ribbon Week as well as some of the myths about drug use, in their advisory classes. This would be a great opportunity to have a discussion with your student today.

Our Liberty students did an amazing job with the ELA Benchmark this past week.
We are starting our Math Benchmarks tomorrow morning. Students will be testing in the morning with their Advisory teacher. Please make sure they have a charged chromebook for testing and are on time.

Our ASB is getting us ready for Red Ribbon Week. Please check out the flyer for our dress up days.
We will have activities during the week, including an advisory lesson about the history of Red Ribbon Week, a K9 demonstration, and some drug prevention informational booths on campus.
Just a reminder that next Friday is our Liberty Trick or Treat Night. All of our local elementary schools will also be joining us that night. So come on by for some food, fun, and candy booths for the whole family.
Food and drink vendors: Baking Barn, Es Litas, La Parilla, Aguas Las Rancheritas, Raspados Abelon, and Chef Gray.
Thank you to all the families that have donated to our event. We are still accepting candy donations. You can send it with your Liberty student or drop it off at the front office.
We had over 100 students come out for soccer tryouts. Good luck to all our students. Tryouts continue tomorrow.
Just a reminder that Picture Day, for our Liberty Middle School students, will be tomorrow, Wednesday, October 11. Students will be taking their pictures during their regularly scheduled PE class.

Our local Kona Ice will be on campus on Friday, October 13th, after school. Prices range from $3 to $6. A percentage of the sales will go to ASB and our end of the year activities.
Just a reminder that there is no school on Monday, October 9th, in observance of Columbus Day. School resumes on Tuesday, October 10th.

Congratulations to our Liberty Marching Band and Colorguard. They played at the Big Fresno Fair yesterday, along with 25 other marching bands.
Drum Major Anastasia Galindo took 3rd place, our Percussion team took 1st place, and the Marching Band overall placed 4th.

We are so excited for Soccer Season, here at Liberty Middle School.
Students will meet with the soccer coaches at the fields behind "D" building on Wednesday, October 11: 3:15pm to 4:30pm and Thursday, October 12 3:15pm to 4:30pm
Students should be dressed in athletic wear or PE clothes for tryouts. Water bottle is highly recommended.
