Today, the Liberty Bands traveled to Kingsburg High School to perform at the CMEA Band Festival. They were adjudicated by 3 judges on their prepared performance and then were required to Sight Read a new piece of music that they had never seen. They also got to meet to hear from Dr. Gary Gilroy, the Head of the Fresno State Music Department.
The Concert Band received an Excellence Rating with scores of 89, 83, and 81
The Symphonic Band received a Unanimous Superior Rating with scores of 91, 90, and 90. The reason it is a Unanimous Superior is because they also received a Superior Rating on their Sight Reading.
They showed their Patriot Pride with their behavior, professionalism, and respectfully watching another group perform in the Theater. Congratulations.
