Emily McPherson is the Library Technician at Freedom Elementary. She began working in the district in 2021 and recently moved into the library tech role in 2023.  Mrs. McPherson has received her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in 2018 from California Coast University. She loves being active with her family, reading with her daughter, and spending quality time with extended family and friends.

Hours and Policies

  • Library Hours are Mondays 8am-2pm & Tuesday - Friday 9am-3pm, closed daily 12-12:30pm for lunch.

  • Open during recess.

  • During library time, TK - 3rd will have a story read, then check out a book.

  • TK - K students are allowed 1 book each week and it must stay in the classroom.

  • 1st grade students are allowed 1 book each week and it will be up to the teachers' discretion if it goes home.

  • 2nd - 6th grade students are allowed to check out 2 books each week and are allowed to take them home.

  • Books are due every week. If more time is needed to finish the book, then it should be brought in on library visit to be "renewed".

  • Overdue notice will be sent home for books that are overdue.

  • Lost and damaged books will be billed to the student.
